Welcome to Little Explorers Training
Together with Open Awards and the Nomad Rangers we deliver high quality training in Forest Schools.
Forest School is an approach to education that maximises the learning and development of all who take part. This course will give you everything you need to gain your Level 3 Certificate in Forest School Programme Leadership. The course will give you the skills and knowledge to become a forest school leader. You will be given advice on how to set up your own forest school site and the confidence to undertake any challenges.
Our fantastic forest school trainers Jenny and Michelle from Nomad Rangers, have over 20 years experience being educational rangers. Between them they have been responsible for the design and delivery of Curriculum based programmes for schools, events and activities, Woodland school, Go Wild activities, Conservation Projects, Eco-schools and Environmental Education. They also have extensive experience working with schools, Disability groups and Rehabilitation Services, Mental health groups, Youth and uniformed groups, Community based forums and Friends of groups.
The level 3 forest school training course will run once a week over 7 weeks with the opportunity to complete your Outdoor first aid. You will then have up to 12 months to complete your portfolio of work. As a team we will work with you to support you throughout the course.

- Understand how forest school can support holistic development and learning
- Understand the forest school ethos
Learn a range of woodland skills and facilitate a campfire.
